Alternate Opinion on Lal Mosque

For the last couple of months this new political & religious issue has been the headlines in the country. Everything seems to talk about it and come with different views, opinion and even recommendations which are their perspective on the issue. Since I am not so media savvy guy but my understanding of the issue from the start is a bit different which I came to know after knowing the opinion of different people.

I recognize that the small group of people really means what is being said and done by those 4,500 women (3,500 government figures) of the institution. This kind of thinking is there with the group of people but what’s happening right now is more of an establishment game.

We could easily hear that America, American government and the West is unhappy with President Musharraf. There are different stories that senators, officials and has spoken their discontent with the current regime. Further many others have even talked to the exiled Pakistani leaders and have approved their support.

The event that happened at the centre of Islamabad (the residents of all the foreigners, elites of the country) showed the world that it’s very difficult to control the extremist and they could do anything. Even anyone is thinking to change the regime than ‘Be Aware’.

This further exploited the opposition because even the exiled leaders have to support government (which they would never do) thus remain neutral. All those who were in the front row during the Justice case are not speaking to media now. The government has also successfully diverted the attention from the Justice case to this case.

I guess everyone should know that it’s just for a small work for the government to tackle the problem which such a strong establishment, police, intelligence bureaus. Nice work I guess they tricked the world and the free media successfully.

Yup...I agree with your "alternative theory" about whats going on with the government.

I was reading an article in the Times a few days back which suggested that Americans are pretty aware of how Musharraf is trying to double cross them. Also the US knows that it must stop supporting the dictatorship sooner or later to remove the stain on their sleeves.

In my opinion the US will, in the near future, put in a so called democratic setup back in the parliament. They would help us put an elected official in the Prime Minister's/President's office.

Whatever happens....Pakistanis as a group should not get carried away. Things are not changing for us for the better of worse anytime soon.

Sorry to say but I dont think so!
It is just another act of Barbarism, with women taking sticks in hand just for nothing.

It wud have been too foolish for the govt too use LAL MAsjid as a tool to divert the attention of media. The chief justice issue was so heated up that the ppl hardly cared abt the the lal masjid incident. Moreover, CJ issue is still more popular than latter.

I think the religious groups should realize that mosques shudnt be build on illegal lands....and if it happens, the govt has the rite to demolish them; just like they did for the Karsaaz Flyover.
